Buxus

Common Name:  Boxwood
Our Buxus liners start from a 4-5” unrooted cutting. We stick them in our outdoor ground beds in the late summer and they are on their own roots going into the winter.  Our BG grade means Bed-Grown. The following year we prune them to encourage branching, increase caliper, and for uniformity.  Our BG grade is around 18 months old when shipped. You should expect a healthy, hardy, uniform 5-8” liner with a good mass of fresh roots, ready to grow off quickly. Our 2 year BG Boxwood grade is around 2 ½ years from a cutting. You should expect a 7-10” liner that has grown for more than 2 years on its own roots.  All of our Boxwoods have been inoculated with mycorrhizae.
